To celebrate its 140th anniversary, Bvlgari hosted a spectacular celebration in Rome and unveiled its new high jewelry collection, Aeterna, at the historic Baths of Diocletian. The grand event paid homage to Bvlgari’s illustrious history and deep-rooted ties to the Eternal City.

A star-studded celebration

The event was graced by celebrities such as Anne Hathaway and Priyanka Chopra, who were seated in the front row. Priyanka Chopra dazzled attendees with the stunning 140-carat Serpenti Aeterna necklace, an exquisite piece that took more than 2,800 hours to create. “It’s the most precious necklace we have ever made,” Silvestri said.

Legendary models Isabella Rossellini and Carla Bruni highlighted the fashion show by walking among the ancient ruins, symbolizing Bvlgari’s eternal elegance and enduring inspiration from Rome’s history. “It was fundamental for me to do something special, something as eternal as Bvlgari and as eternal as Rome,” said Creative Director Lucia Silvestri.

The Aeterna Collection

The Aeterna collection, which includes high jewelry, watches, luxury bags and fragrances, consists of 150 exceptional pieces. Isabella Rossellini closed the show in the Augustus Aeternus Emerald Monete Sautoir, featuring an ancient bronze coin with the likeness of Emperor Augustus strung on 149 emerald beads. Silvestri remarked, “We have worked tirelessly to create what we believe to be the most extraordinary high jewelry collection ever.

A night of elegance and style

Styled by Carine Roitfeld, the event featured a jewelry show with an iconic cast including Mariacarla Boscono, Blesnya Minher and Elisabetta Dessy. The show was preceded by a poetic duet by choreographer Sadeck Berrabah and ballet dancer Eleonora Abbagnato, celebrating Bvlgari’s fusion of past, present and future.

A Commitment to Innovation

Bvlgari introduced the Bvlgari Digital Passport, which ensures the highest standards of transparency and security by storing the unique characteristics and certificates of each fine jewelry creation on the Aura private blockchain.

The event also featured the unveiling of “Vista Aeterna,” an immersive installation by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis. This work of art has been donated to the City of Rome. It will be displayed in the Piazza di Spagna, celebrating the luminosity of the Eternal City.
