I am excited to share some thrilling news with you. This week, our jewelry will take center stage at the much-anticipated Milan Jewelry Week, hosted at the renowned gallery of Haruko Ito. This year, Haruko Ito together with Simona Materi have gathered ten exceptional goldsmith designers to celebrate the legacy of the great Pablo Picasso, and I am honored to be among them.

A Celebration of Picasso’s Ceramic Art

Pablo Picasso, a name synonymous with artistic genius, ventured into ceramics late in his career, leaving an indelible mark on the world of art. His ceramic works, characterized by their playfulness and imaginative forms, serve as an enduring testament to his boundless creativity.

In celebration of Picasso’s ceramics and to mark the 50th anniversary of his passing, Haruko Ito and Simona Materi invited a select group of goldsmiths to craft unique pieces inspired by Picasso’s artwork. It’s a unique opportunity to connect the worlds of jewelry and art in a way that resonates with the spirit of innovation that defined Picasso’s art.

My special jewel “Face Forward”

For this extraordinary occasion, I have meticulously designed a piece that encapsulates the essence of Picasso’s artistic vision.

My piece incorporates various elements, from an upside-down pendant as the nose to an uncut tangerine quartz for the mouth. The eyes, a pair of brooches, grant a sense of agency to the wearer. These separate elements can be positioned wherever the heart desires, allowing for personal expression and creativity. Like Picasso’s art, this piece invites you to play, to experiment, and to wear your own unique story.

It’s a symphony of artistry and craftsmanship that mirrors the spirit of Picasso’s ceramics.

Stay Tuned

I’m excited to be part of this tribute to Picasso and to showcase how art and jewelry can beautifully intersect.

Stay tuned for more updates, and if you’re in Milan during the Jewelry Week, we’d be delighted to have you visit the exhibition and experience our pieces firsthand.

Art and jewelry, Picasso’s legacy, and the future of creative expression—all will come together in this captivating event. I’m looking forward to sharing this adventure with you!
